Cuckoo for Coconut Oil

I'm really not "cuckoo" for coconut oil, but I have replaced cooking in shortening, margerine, lard and vegetable oil with this extremely healthy choice. I never used lard, but my mom was raised on it, and she along with several of her siblings had heart problems resulting from very high cholesterol.

Coconut oil has so many benefits, it just made perfect sense to use it instead of the other things that are out there. One of the important things to Bobby and I was to find a coconut oil that had the benefits yet didn't smell and taste like coconut oil. We came across "Butcher Boy" brand at Big Lots and love it. It definitely meets our smell and taste criteria.

You may agree or disagree with these facts, but all I can say is we are thankful to have this as an alternative to those things that have been proven to be harmful to our health.
